I adore Tiffany Reisz Original Sinners
series and I adore Kingsley so this book was highly anticipated and did not
disappoint.
The King is book 6 in the series and book 2
in the ‘white years’ taking us back and telling the story of how Kingsley Edge
became the King of the 8th circle underground.
It opens with King visiting Grace and Fionn
(where was Zac * wails * ) to tell her
the story, in case Fionn develops his father’s traits…
We are
taken right back to when Soren comes back into Kingsley’s life after 10 years.
Soren is now a priest and King is struggling with his submissive side.
I loved
reading how their relationship evolved over this period; they love each other
so much but have walked different paths to get to this point.
We have a
brief introduction to Nora (aged 15) but this isn't her story.
This is
King’s story, his relationships and his fights and struggles. We are introduced
to Sam (who has been hinted at in previous books) and a lot of the story is
Kings bond with her, their mutual desire to stop a zealous church obtaining the
building that King wants for the 8th circle. There is corruption,
deception, sex, kink, love and lust. After all, this is the Original Sinners!
