Talon Steel is a tortured soul, and Jade Roberts is the only balm his soul has ever felt. The bond that grows between them is undeniable, but that is exactly what Talon tries to do. Deny it. A haunted past keeps Talon from ever feeling worthy of life, happiness, and least of all love. Jade wants nothing more than to heal his broken wings. The push and pull between these two is palpable from the very beginning. You can feel it grow, and surge to powerful heights, only to be dropped to the ground again in a moment. The suspense of waiting to see what will happen next is intense….and sometimes the outcome is absolutely soul shattering. I sobbed along with Jade, I was tormented alongside Talon. Ms. Hardt wove an incredible story of deceit, terror, disappointment, passion, love, and hope. Many secrets are still hidden, and the cliffhanger left me absolutely gutted and scrounging for more! I sincerely hope Ms. Hardt is finished with Obsession (book two), or writes fast…..I need more Talon and Jade, and I need them yesterday!
