Synopsis

The only thing better than cake is cake with a side of orgasms.

Dylan James has no expectations when it comes to relationships. He uses women for sex and they use him for his money and power. It’s quid pro quo and he's good with that. It works.

Beth Harrison has been burned. She's tired of the lies and the game playing that men bring and has buried herself in her passion—baking which keeps her out of the reach of heartbreak. As she begins her career as a TV baker, a new world opens up to her.

Dylan and Beth both know that casual sex is all about giving what you need to get what you want.

Except that sometimes you give more than you need to and get everything you ever wanted.

Excerpt
Dylan

“I understood the dynamic between men and women. I got to sleep with hot women, and in exchange they got to fuck a rich guy in the hope that they’d become beneficiaries of my cash. I might be handsome, but I knew from bitter experience that if a richer guy came along, I’d be left in the taillights of the women I slept with. It just happened that now, there weren’t many richer men, which gave me a certain satisfaction. I’d made peace with the transactional nature of relationships between men and women and had no expectations. At some point in my past I’d thought that love was possible. Not anymore. It was all about giving to get.”

Kristie's Review

Indigo nights reeled me in from the very beginning.  It isn’t very often I have read a book that delivered toe curling romance with real issues like alcoholism and sobriety, let alone done it in a way that combined humor, sensitivity, and realism.  I absolutely adored Beth from the moment she came on scene.  She was sassy, sweet, honest, playful, and fun.  She was completely intoxicating in her authenticity, and made you wish she could be your best friend.  Her initial rejections of Dylan were absolutely fabulous…..

“You know, I’m sure any number of the flight attendants, male or female, would be happy to indulge you in” - she swirled her hand in my direction - “whatever it is you’re doing.”

And when his advances continued, they just got better….

“Just because I saw something glittery and new in the shop window, doesn’t mean I’m going to hand over my credit card and take it home.”

As much as I loved Beth and her quirky authenticity, I loved Dylan for all of his sexy alpha male tenacity.  He didn’t give up in his pursuit of Beth, and the electricity that sparked between them was incredibly hot.  Dylan was the poster boy for self made man, in his impeccably tailored suits, perfectly tousled hair, and ability to make any woman fall under his spell.  Under that tough businessman facade, though, is a heart of gold.  A heart that he doesn’t allow many to see, but it endears him to you even more as it is slowly revealed one page at a time.  Aside from his tender heart, one of my favorite things about Dylan was his honesty, vulnerability, and most of all….his dirty mouth.  He had Beth (and this reader) boneless and weeping at his words.

She cocked her head and frowned.  “Stop looking at me like that.”
“Like what?  Like I want to make you come so hard you’ll be seeing stars?”

But even more than those words, his easy acceptance of her rejection and determination to spend time with her was expressed with humor and confidence…but he still let her know where he stood while also trying to put her at ease.

“Darlin’, I told you I was going to make you see stars. The pressure is all on me. You just need to tell me what you’re enjoying and what’s not working for you. I promise, nerves are the last thing you’re going to be feeling. But if you’d prefer to just talk, then that’s fine. You Can tell me what you were scribbling away in that notebook of yours.”

I loved this book for so many reasons, but the authentic feel of it and the relatability of the characters made it a favorite that I would gladly read a second, or third, time.  Hats off to Louise Bay for delivering this heartwarming and sexy read.

About The Author

louise

USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful and Hopeful and the novella series’ The Empire State Series, What the Lightning Sees and Calling Me. The novels and together each series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters.

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.

Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!

  1. How i got my husband back.I contacted Dr ATILA during the period my husband left me in February 1st of 2016 because i wanted my husband to be home with me and we could be together on valentine's day. I skeptically called to see if he can be of help in making my husband love me and return his love and emotions back to me again. So when we had the first conversation he reassured and i quote "This spell is going to take a bit longer than my previous spells, due to his reluctance and a controlling spell laid on him, but no worries I'm going to bring him back to you and make him fall in love with you again''. I can now bear out to the whole world that I moved in with my Husband in just 24 hours after his spell casting for me,we both celebrate valentine's day together and he has committed to the relationship and I can't thank Dr ATILA enough for changing my life for good..I am totally amazed and so happy that you have been able to do this for me. I am so amazed today because IT WORKS and I am living proof. I can't show appreciation to you adequately for bringing my man back, and will be forever appreciative for that. Thank you, thank you, Lord I will keep you informed, you have worked tirelessly for me continue your good work.Email Him: atilahealinghome@yahoo.com
