**Blog Tour** Peace by Piece by S.J McGran

Title: Peace by Piece
Author: S.J McGran
Release Date: June 29, 2015
Genre: Contemporary Romance

There's an expiration date on every life. A ticking clock counting down the seconds until you no longer exist in this world.

Each tick of the clock is louder for me.

I don't have an eternity. I have one year. Just twelve short months.

If life promised an infinity he could have been my forever, and without a doubt I should have been his always.

“Been waiting for you, Genevieve. I know it. You were made for me.” He continues
assaulting my lips and neck with his kisses, pausing at the hollow of my throat
to whisper there, “You feel that? You feel the world tip on its axis when we’re
together? It’s earth-shattering. It’s like we can fix everything that’s wrong
in this world just by being together. Do you feel it, V?”
I let out a needy moan from the back of my throat. I want to feel it. I want his
words to be true. I want more than anything in this world for our relationship,
for his kisses to have healing powers.
Standing there in the middle of my tiny cabin, with the most
beautiful, amazing man holding me in his arms, with his lips driving my pulse
through the roof, I send up a silent prayer to every God that might be
listening to let his words be true.
Please, let him heal me. Let this pain, this suffering be worth something. Give me this man, please. Give him to me and I’ll never ask for anything again. I’ll be your greatest servant, your
best disciple. Just give me this man. Please.
He pulls back and I feel the loss of his touch immediately. “Come on, sweetness,
we need to get you washed up.” Grabbing my hand in his he pulls me through the
one room cabin to the small closed-off bathroom. Picking me up he sets me on
the vanity while he goes to the shower to test the water temperature. Once he’s
apparently satisfied, he turns back to me and takes my breath away with the strength of
his stare.
This wasn’t supposed to be our fate. He’s just a kid. He’s not supposed to fall in
love, yet.
And, yet I know it is inevitable. I see it in the way he looks at me, the way he
touches me. It doesn’t make sense and yet there it is. I recognize it because
if I were to force my eyes off of him and look at myself in the mirror I’d see the same emotions reflected back at me.
This is the moment where I either push or jump.
I have no idea what to do.
“Don’t shut me out,” his words are whisper quiet but they bounce off the tiled walls
mockingly. “Don’t push me away, V. Don’t fight this.”
“I have to, Levi. I can’t let you fall in love with me.”

He steps up to me and once again nestles my face in his steady grasp. “You don’t
have a choice.” He absorbs whatever argument I was going to say with his kiss.
Expertly he pushes back my excuses, making me focus on nothing but the way he
makes me feel. He completely surrounds me and I get lost in him. Just like he wanted.

Tara's 5***** Review

"On the eve of my thirtieth birthday, I had it all. Or so I thought."

This was such a tough read. After the reading the synopsis, I struggled emotionally to find the will power to start Peace by Piece. What is a greater fear than losing the one you love?

"I hope I never take his love for me for granted. I hope there is never a day in my life where the words I love you, falling from his lips no longer make me feel like I’m weightless."

Genevieve faces a terrifying fear...finding out she's ill, and falling in love. Being such a strong woman, I couldn't help but cheer V on. But at the same time, I found myself thinking about what I would have to do if I were in her position. Levi, well...he is a guardian angel. He takes risks and surprised me with his actions. SJ sets the setting of the story perfectly, and opened our eyes to a very real, and very scary real-life issue.

"When she looked at me with those eyes I dream about and gave me a small, shy smile I should’ve known she’d knock me down."

I love SJ's writing. There is so much passion in the words she writes. In Peace by Piece, she choose to open us up to a very real scenario. It was so hard not to get wrapped up in the story.

One day I woke up and realized there were people living inside of me. Their words were too potent to ignore. So, I started writing them. I started telling their stories. And, now I'm too addicted to stop.
When I'm not writing and talking to imaginary people I'm probably curled up on the couch with my husband, and one of our fur babies.
My other obsessions include reading smutty romance, the Detroit Tiger, ice cream, pizza, coffee, and craft beer.

Wendy's 5 Bare Naked Stars Review

The opening line of the prologue of Be My Temptation will make your eyes go wide, and your mind go into overdrive at what deliciousness is to come.

Josh Crawford, I’d fallen for this fine specimen of a man by page 8. Yes he is just that good, move over Ky Crawford……TeamJosh just rolled in to town.

Be My Temptation is Josh & Ashlyn’s story and this is Rachel *prologue queen* Brookes at her finest.

This is the second in this series and who knew Ms Brookes could go one better than Ky Crawford and give us Josh, Ky’s younger brother. Tempting he most certainly is, and Ashlyn finds herself tempted often. A rash decision overshadows their future, but will they give in to temptation or continue to torture each other and ignore the mutual desire between them?

We got a glimpse into Ashlyn in Be my December, she was confident, sassy, gorgeous and Ky’s best friend, however in reality not all of those things are true. Confidence is not something that comes to Ashlyn easily, a series of personal let downs have left her feeling unworthy and her self-esteem has taken a knock.

Through Josh’s eyes she is perfect and he’s been trying to resist her for as long as he can remember, through some gallant yet misguided reason he thinks what he is doing is right.

If you are looking for a story that stirs raw emotion but brings banter an laughs in equal quantities then this is going to hit the mark.

It has been a pleasure to watch Rachel Brookes flourish into the fine author that she is today. Be My Temptation is proof of that talent. Josh Crawford is proof she’s a dirty little minx.

Congratulations to Rachel Brookes for once again bringing us a contemporary romance that ticks all those hot little boxes

Nicola's 5***** Review

I have been eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Another Cutter’ from the moment I finished the first book and again David E. Gordon has written a truly dream of a book.
We are reunited with all the characters we fell in love with in the first book, as well as being introduced to some new and unsavoury ones.

I don’t want to go into too much detail on what happens within the book as it will just spoil it, but I will say that once you think you know what is going on, David will completely take you on a different direction and keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
Not everyone is as they seem, and Robert is again thrust into danger with an unknown enemy determined to see him go down. Only it’s not just him this time; now his family are on the front line of it all as well.

Can Robert protect his family as well as finding the people responsible for this latest threat?

David E. Gordon has a brilliant style of writing and you can see just how much time, thought and research has gone into everything. He delivers in such a way to make you understand everything without it being confusing.  You feel every bit of emotion that pours from the pages and you really get a feel for the characters. You bond with them while reading and you constantly have hope that everything will be ok and work out for every single one of them.
I am in love with this book; with this series and with its characters and cannot thank David enough for putting pen to paper to write these truly wonderful books.

But, thankyou David for yet again delivering an extraordinary book full of emotion, intrigue and suspense.

A brilliant book and series by a talented author. You will not be disappointed when reading these books and I highly recommend you introduce yourselves to Robert, Shannon, Joseph and the rest of the characters that make ‘Cutter’ and ‘Another Cutter’ the books they are.

‘Another Cutter’ should be read after the first book ‘Cutter’ in order to understand what has gone on and how these characters’ met.
I’m unsure if there will be a 3rd book in the series, but if there isn’t I feel as though Mr. Gordon has ended it perfectly.

Max was standing a couple of feet away from Robert, on his left side, and the driver was a couple of feet away, on the right side. The game was well underway and Sam’s team was winning when he saw Joseph approaching. Suddenly Robert tensed, as he saw Max straighten up, his whole body and mind seemed to be on high alert. With a quick motion of his hand the driver closed in beside Robert and just behind him. The man's hand reaching for Robert’s arm as he said, “With me, sir” and guided him towards the SUV.

One moment the parents were cheering on their sons’ and daughters’ soccer teams, and the next there was chaos everywhere. Joseph had broken into a full speed run cutting across the soccer field towards Sam, dodging several of the small children as he raced forward. The driver protecting Robert stopped and knocked him to the ground, as Max went into a crouch, his gun in his hand and sweeping across the field. As Robert landed hard on his left shoulder he saw that Joseph also had his gun out.

The first shot rang out and Robert saw the cop standing beside his car go down, as he was just starting to free his gun from its holster. The bullet tore through the cop’s left leg and buried itself in the door behind him. With the driver covering him, all Robert could do was watch, in what seemed like incredibly slow motion, as another shot rang out. Robert saw a shooter go down on the far side of the field, the rifle falling to the ground from his lifeless hands. More shots could be heard as the children scattered from the field, parents and children, trying to find each other.

Robert watched as Joseph reached Sam and in one fluid motion pulled him under his arm and took off for the SUV. The driver, kneeling in front of Robert, was firing behind Joseph and Robert saw another man go down. There were four more men charging the field with guns firing at the driver and Max. Robert had not even noticed that Max had moved onto the field and was running an intercept with Joseph, firing as he ran. Another man went down, and then Robert felt the driver topple over.

The man’s gun lay on the ground beside him. Robert saw him clutching his shoulder with blood pouring from the wound. Robert grabbed the gun and, despite yells from Joseph, he stood up and ran towards them. Robert remembered what Joseph had taught him about handling the gun and held it, pointing down. The gun tight in both hands as he ran on. Max had passed Joseph and Sam, stopped and dropped to one knee. He was firing at the three men still advancing on them, and Robert saw in horror, that Max's left arm was hanging to his side useless.

Robert couldn’t tell where the other shots were coming from - he guessed from one of Max’s team that was hiding some place. Whoever it was, he was an amazing shot. He fired one at a time, and each time found his mark. Robert passed Joseph carrying Sam, and Joseph shot him a look. He knelt and fired at the approaching men, leading him as Joseph had taught him. He saw the shooter he aimed at slow down as he grabbed his side and then topple as another bullet hit him. The third man was taken off his feet and toppled backward as Max hit him with several shots to the chest. The last man continued to run towards Robert and Max firing as he ran, trying to avoid the bullets flying at him. Just as it seemed like he was going to finally find one of them, the shooter’s arms flung wide. He staggered forward for several more steps, his eyes already lifeless as he fell forward into the grass.

Max turned to Robert, as shouts of “clear” could be heard. Robert leaped up to his feet, desperately needing to check on Sam. As his eyes ran over the scene before him, he noticed the driver was sitting up with another gun in his good hand. He also saw two men jogging towards them and he stiffened before realizing they were part of Max’s team. Robert turned looking around wildly searching and then saw Sam sitting on the ground crying. Beside him lay Joseph and he didn’t appear to be moving. Robert looked at Max and the two took off running.
