N.A. Alcorn resides in Northern Kentucky with her husband and son. Never following the norm, her style of romance “flies outside [the box.]” She is the author of the wildly hilarious Infamous Series, and also delved into romantic suspense with her third release, Covertly Strong.

She loves music, can’t take a proper selfie if her life depended on it, refuses to parallel park, and probably has the most obnoxious laugh you’ll ever hear. If she could live off coffee and Reese’s Cups, she’d be one happy lady.

Procrastinator at heart, N.A. tells herself she’ll meet every deadline. Tomorrow. She’ll finish it tomorrow, she swears.
She loves meeting readers. Always feel free to send her an email or message.

**Blog Tour** Housing Elephants by Eleanor Lloyd-Jones

Book: Housing Elephants

Author: Eleanor Lloyd-Jones

Genre: New Adult

Release Date – 20th November

“… And the greatest of these is love.”

Love is patient and kind… Its strength can build bridges and knock down walls. It can give people hope - a purpose. But there is a side to love that is unforgiving and cruel - a side to love that breaks hearts.

Love can suffocate, and love can turn to hate.

Billy Taylor meandered through life, only ever giving half. Ruled by his father’s grief, he gave up on his own dreams in a bid to keep life ticking along, desperately craving the unconditional love of his parents. It wasn’t until Eve Swallow fell into his life again, rousing his empty heart, that he dared to hope for a chance to live life on his terms.

Never quite good enough in the eyes of her overpowering mother, Eve kept herself locked away inside her own head, immersing herself in her passion for art and music, and doing anything in her power to avoid getting close to anyone. When she connected with Billy’s eyes, that still haunted her dreams after so long, fear kicked in, and all she could do was the one thing she was sure would protect her…

If two lost souls collided and a love so deep was born, it would surely take a herd of elephants to tear them apart…

Our Review

Tara's 5 Bare Naked Star Review

‘He’d seen this girl before and knew she was different to the others that he had spent time with. Her eyes spoke volumes about just how different. Something behind the grey swirls reflected feelings that were inside of him, and he frowned with emptiness and confusion as she walked away.”

How do you rid yourself of your past? How do you begin to trust again?

Housing Elephants was the most “real” book I have ever read. This isn't a fru-fru romance, there was no dashing millionaire, no naive girl playing victim. This book is about life. True, raw life. Eleanor doesn’t shy away from telling the truth. Sometimes, the truth is ugly, and Eleanor paints truth’s picture elegantly, but doesn’t sugar coat the reality that comes with real life.

“He wanted to hold her hand while she emptied her bucket of broken pieces onto the floor and then sit cross-legged next to her and help her to put them back together again."

Eve, anxious and scared; Billy, trying to hold it all together; when they meet, both of their worlds are turned upside down. Trying to deal with a shitty life is hard enough, but when you meet someone that needs you to help them survive, the reality is almost too painful. The scenarios that Eve and Billy live through each day, are a huge eye opener for us, the readers. We are used to hearts and flowers, but Eleanor shows us love in a primal way. Where survival seems like a nightmare. Where trust is foreign, and where love hurts.

“Their love was painful. It was all consuming, and they hadn’t been able to see through the thickness of it in order to start living again.”

This book blew my mind. It was unlike anything I have ever read. So real, and so emotional. It was like watching a tragic ballet story. My heart beat fast, and my head spun while reading Housing Elephants. The words Eleanor used flowed flawlessly, and I could feel the love that Eleanor put into this book. She is a timeless author, and I will most definitely be reading more of her works.

Author Bio

Raised in a little village in North Wales, a fierce love of books and reading was instilled in Eleanor by her parents from a very early age, and she has vivid memories of reading secretly under the blankets with a torch for hours after lights out, often getting caught! She was blown away by The Borribles Trilogy - Michael De Larrabeiti at nine years old, and it was then that she fell head over heels with idea of imaginary worlds.

A persistent and professional daydreamer, something she still prides herself on being, she spent most of her early childhood inside her own head making up stories or scenarios, climbing trees, building dens or doing anything arts and crafty. Music also played a huge part of her young life. Growing up on The Beatles, U2 and Status Quo, her obsession with Top of the Pops and vinyl twelve inches grew into a love affair with music that has only grown and expanded over time: there is rarely a moment where music is not playing in her life, and in turn, rarely a time when she is not singing, even if it is in her head!

She had always thought she would write a book some day - it has been an ambition for as long as she can remember - and has always been told that she ‘has a way with words’. Over the years, she’s dabbled in the odd piece of prose, helped friends to write letters and résumés and prides herself on her hilarious lyrical genius when composing poems for friends birthdays! Life, however, got in the way and her dream was stored on the back burner as she put herself through university and started a family. It was only when she was nearing the ‘forty’ milestone that she decided it was time she got some of the ramblings and chatterings in her head down on paper.

A creative, guitar-playing mum of one boisterous, but pretty damn cool boy, she classes herself as a Yorkshire gal now after moving to Leeds when she was eleven. Eleanor works full time as a teacher, but grabs every spare minute she can to write; be it on the train, lunchtimes at school or foregoing sleep for an extra hour or two in the evenings. Her hope for the future is for people to fall in love with her characters as much as she does. Not a big ask really!

**Blog Tour** The Last Shot by Sara Hubbard

Book: The Last Shot

Author: Sarah Hubbard

Genre: Contemporary Romance/ New Adult

Annie: As a child I was unwanted and unloved. Tossed aside until my maternal grandmother came to claim me. Life got better after that, and it got better still when I met Ethan Michaels, the boy down the street who was determined to make me feel like I mattered. At first he was my friend, but then he became much more. But love isn’t real. Not in my world.

When Ethan left to pursue professional hockey I had to make a clean break. I couldn’t wait for him to find someone better, couldn’t wait for him to break my heart. It’s better to leave than be left. But now he’s back, and I can't run from him anymore.

Worse…he won't let me.

Ethan: Annie Fraser owned me as a kid. She owns me still. When I got my first contract to play professional hockey I asked her to come with me, but she wouldn’t leave Rawdon, not while her grandmother was sick. I understood. Still, I wanted to stay together, do whatever I could to keep her.

But she wanted to run.
I loved her enough to let her.

Now I’m back in town and I’m pissed. I think I hate her. I’m sure of it. Until I see her… and those old feelings come rushing back. I won’t let her walk away again. I don’t care what it takes.

My Review

Nic's 4 Bare Naked Stars **** Review

Sara is quickly becoming one of my go to authors when it comes to diversity in reading. I love how she can write different genre’s and yet never lets it affect her writing or story-telling. They are all still flawless.

‘The Last Shot’ is a beautifully written second chance love story about Ethan; an up and coming big shot hockey player and Annie; a newly graduate nurse.

Growing up feeling unloved and unwanted has left Annie with a lot of doubt and vulnerability in her mind. She feels undeserving and would rather end things than risk getting hurt. Which is exactly what she does when Ethan, her childhood and only love. As soon as he signs his first professional contract she breaks things off adamant they were destined to fail. That way he could pursue his dreams without her getting in the way.

But that couldn’t be further from the truth. In the 3 years since she broke things off Ethan became a hot headed hockey player who let his anger drive him without a care in the world. She was his only love, and he hates her for the way she broke his heart.
Returning home after his brother ends in hospital he comes face to face with her; the only woman he has ever, and never stopped loving.

“That’s the thing about love, I guess. It makes you do things you wouldn’t otherwise do. It makes you forget what you want in order to make the other person happy. Makes you hold on long after it’s good for you, because the thought of losing that love is crippling. Losing her again---completely---would finish off what’s left of my broken heart.”

All the hate he thought he felt towards her disappears, and he is determined to get her back. To him, she is his. Now he just needs to fight for her and convince her to give their love a chance.
“Would she come with me so I can follow my dream even if it means giving up a job she loves?”

I loved this story. The characters. The plot. I had everything that kept me reading and enjoying what I read. The pace was perfectly set so it didn’t feel rushed, the characters well developed and very likable….except for a certain doctor. I smiled, I laughed and I held my breath in hope these two could work out their issues and finally get the HEA they so deserved.

I can’t wait to read more of what Sara has to offer us, and very much look forward to her upcoming novels.

I want to defend Ethan, because Charlie's on the outside looking in and I don't like him thinking that Ethan is...whatever he thinks Ethan is. He can't know how Ethan helped pull me from the darkness that consumed me when I first came to this town. He made me smile, for the first time after my mom abandoned me. He spent all of his time just being there for me, loving me, making me feel like I mattered. On the outside and to the press he might look like a jackass but I know better. They only see the self-destructive Ethan. They don’t get to see the side I see, the side he seems to save just for me.
