Synopsis

My Review

Guarded. Yes Vanessa is guarded, who wouldn’t be when your husband of four years has verbally & mentally abused you, cheated on you and left you believing you are plain, unlovable and worthless.

This is where we meet Vanessa, about to be divorced, at an all-time low in terms of her self-esteem, and then she meets Jackson Berrios a famous basketball player and immediately there seems to be something between them. However this is not going to be easy, with Vanessa’s self-doubts can Jackson break through her barriers?

And so to Jackson, successful basketball player, hotter than a hot thing! But also honest, understanding, and such a sweetheart.  You’re gonna want yourself some Jackson. And I personally love male POVs

Vanessa's best friend Amanda was a truly great character, always there for Vanessa, helping her to gain confidence and learn to be happy once again.

This was a great Novella from J.D. Rivera, short and fast paced and like me you will probably get to the end happy with the outcome and really really really wanting more.
