**Blog Tour** Hopeful by Louise Bay

Guys like Joel Wentworth weren't meant to fall in love with girls like me. He could have had his pick of the girls on campus but somehow the laws of nature were defied and we fell crazy in love. And for a short time I thought it would be for infinity.
On July 10, 2006, straight after graduation, Joel left for New York and despite him wanting me to go with him, I refused, unwilling to disappoint my parents and risk the judgment of my friends. I never saw him again. Never even spoke to him.
I've spent the last eight years working hard to put my career front and center in my life, dodging any personal complications - I have a strict no dating policy.  I've managed to piece together a reality that works for me. Until now.
Now, Joel's coming back to London.
And I need to get over him before he gets over here.

Tammy's 4.5**** Review

I absolutely loved Hopeful.  It was full of love, loss, second chances, and friendship.  I was hooked from the first chapter.

Ava- was a people pleaser in college.  She wanted everyone to be happy and was insecure in herself.  She wanted everyone to think she was a good person.
Joel – OMG Joel was so incredibly sexy!  He was everything a girl looks for and so much more.  “Sex on a Stick”

Ava and Joel met in college.  They became study buddies and then so much more.  But it was all kept in secret because Ava was afraid to let anyone else in their bubble.  She was worried others would think she wasn’t good enough for Joel.  So they lived a secret love life. It was only Ava that wanted it to be kept secret. It was hard being around all their friends but keeping their relationship a secret.

Joel got offered a job in New York and Ava stayed in London for law school.  That was the last time they saw each other eight years ago.  They were both so hurt how things ended.

All I wanted in that moment was Joel to see inside me, see how much I needed him. I couldn’t tell him, but I needed him to know.

Joel moves back to London. Ava has never been able to move on with anyone else.  She will always love him. No other guy comes close to him in her heart.  They spend lots of time together with friends but its really hard.

Men compartmentalize these things in a way I don’t think women can. Men can say, ‘We’ve split up, life moves on, I’ll find someone else,’ and then never think about that person again. Women, I think, bruise more deeply, love longer.”
He finished his mouthful of food. “You think Daisy will take me back?”
“I think that if you feel the thunderbolt, you will love her whether or not she takes you back.”
I could feel the sadness rise in me.

Can they reconnect or has there been too much hurt?

I loved the past and present format.  It allowed us to see what they were going thru in the past and in the present.  It worked amazingly well.

I loved Hopeful..  So steamy and hot with a Real True Love Story. The perfect mix to make an incredible story.
This is my first Louise Bay book and it won’t be my last.  Can’t wait to see where she takes these characters in the next book.

I write sexy, contemporary romance novels. My first novel Faithful was released in April 2014 and the second, Hopeful, was released July 15 2014.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, I love all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so I'll settle for books and films.
I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don't have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
