**Blog Tour** New Year in Manhatten by Louise Bay

Adult Contemporary
The Empire State Trilogy, Part 1
Released: October 21, 2014
Each novella is around 30k words
Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She's tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she's a magnet for men who don't deserve her.
A week's vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.
Super-successful serial seducer Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn't date, he doesn't stay the night, and he doesn't make any promises.
It should be a match made in heaven. But rules are made to be broken.
A Week in New York is the first in a series of three novellas.

Anna Kirby went to New York to escape heartbreak and have some fun. She wasn't meant to meet someone . . . someone like Ethan. Now, back in London, she's faced with another man to get over.
Ethan Scott broke every one of his rules during his week with Anna and now he can't seem to go back to life before her. A business trip to London gives him the opportunity to change his rules for good. Will he take it?
Autumn in London is the second part of The Empire State Series, a series of three novellas.

Tammy's 5 sexy stars review *****

I absolutely loved the second book in the series. I loved A Week in New York.  But Autumn in London is off the charts. I couldn’t get enough of Ethan and Anna.  Ethan is so sexy and hot!!

At the end of A Week in New York.  Ethan and Anna decide to never contact each other again.  They delete all contact information.  Anna heads back to her home in London and Ethan stays in New York.  It was the best week for both of them.  But now they had go back to their normal lives..

Except nothing was normal again.  They both missed each other.  Neither one could move on with anyone new.  They had no desire.  Ethan couldn’t even go back to his playboy ways. But with no contact information what could they do but suffer alone.
Ethan’s company was merging with a law firm in London.  He was sent there to get everything started up.  Being in the same place as Anna made him want her even more but he had an important job to do.

"I knew I wanted to fuck her again but I knew that my dick didn't always have my best interests at heart. My brain knew I didn't need the distraction - work was going to be demanding."

Then he walked into the board meeting and who was standing there nervous about her positon in the company but Anna.  Anna started thinking their hookup in New York was all a setup by Ethan to get company secrets.
When she won’t return any of his calls he did what any rationale guy would do.  He showed up at her apartment and won’t leave till he let her in.  It didn’t take long for their undeniable connection to return.  But there were so many complications between work and him going back to New York in three months.

“You’re gonna have to be patient with me. I’ve told you, I don’t date so I’m not going to get this right all the time. But I don’t play games and I’m not going to start bullshitting you. If I’m with you, I’m with you and that’s where it begins and ends.”
“I’m scared this, us, is more than sex. I’m scared that I want this to be more than sex. I’m scared of you leaving and I’m scared of you staying. I’m scared of how I feel about this, you. It’s just complicated and this wasn’t supposed to be complicated. You could hurt me, Ethan. Already, you could really hurt me.”

What happens now.  Can they date and not let anyone know at the office?   How do they make this work out for both of them?  So much to consider.  They lived in two different countries and they both loved their jobs and family/friends.

“You look so f*cking beautiful all the time, but especially now. With my fingers inside of you, feeling your wetness. You like that, don’t you?”

Damn they are one HOT SEXY couple.  The sex was hot in A Week in New York.  But off the charts in Autumn in London.
Absolutely love the dual POV in this series. It truly makes this series.
The ending left me wanting so much more.  I need know what happens with them next.  I can’t wait to finish the series with New Year in Manhattan releasing January 13, 2015.

The Empire State Trilogy, Part 3
Release: January 13, 2015
Each novella is around 30k words

The Empire State Series concludes in New Year in Manhattan.

Anna and Ethan are separated by the Atlantic Ocean. Their previous rules no longer apply.

In order to make things work, Anna needs to let go of her past and take a risk with Ethan. Ethan needs to learn how to deal with the ambiguity of a relationship.

Long-distance relationships are never easy and their relationship is fragile. For how long can it survive under the pressure of separation? Are either of them prepared to give up what they have for the other?

But distance isn’t the only obstacle Anna and Ethan face. Ultimately they have to decide whether they want to share a future together.

Tammy's 4 Bare Naked Stars

This is the final book for Anna and Ethan’s story.  I’ve really enjoyed their journey and wish there was more to come.

A New Year in Manhattan picks up where Autumn in London ends.

As soon as Ethan was on the plane back to New York Anna regretted not going with him.  Ethan was in a daze when he returned to New York nothing was the same without Anna with him.

They both missed the other so much.  Things became a bit tense during their daily phone calls.  Could they make this long distance relationship work?

They had plans to spend New Year’s Eve together in New York.  Only a few more weeks.

Finally they were back together for a few days in New York City.

The time they had together in New York made them both want to make it last forever.  Ethan had a very big surprise planned.  But things didn’t go as planned.  He was very disappointed but hid it from Anna.  She had no idea about the surprise.

Anna returns to London missing Ethan so much she can’t stand to be there.  Ethan isn’t himself when she returns to London.  She feels she has to find a way to fix this situation.  Can she give up her life in London to live in New York?  Is that what he wants as well?

Ethan is making his own plans for their future.  Where will they end up and will they make it work?

“Are you ready to be fucked so hard, beautiful?”
“Faster, Ethan, I need you.”

Damn like the previous two books the sex is HOT!!  They are one hot steamy fun couple.
I have loved all the playlists Louise Bay has included in the books.  Really adds to the story.
Once again the dual pov really made the story.  I could really feel for Ethan when the surprise didn’t work out.  Along with Anna’s frustration with their short phone calls and worrying what was wrong.

I liked where they ended up as a couple at the end.  But I felt it was too rushed and left me hanging.  I needed an Epilogue.  I wanted to see more of their story develop and what comes next for them.  I’m sad to say goodbye to them.  They were a couple I would love to read more about.

I would recommend this series to anyone.  It’s a fun romantic sexy series.  I’ll definitely read Louise Bay’s next series.

I write sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind I like to read. My books Faithful and Hopeful are stand-alone novels although there are some overlapping characters. The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, I love all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so I'll settle for books and films.
I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don't have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
Hearing from readers is the best thing in the world so get in touch!
