5 star review by Kristie K.
Obsession is book two in the Steel Brothers Saga, and continues exactly where Craving left off. The cliffhanger from Craving left even more questions than answers, and you are sucked right back into the story, praying for solutions to the mysteries that surround the Steel family name.
In true form, Ms. Hardt keeps those answers at arms length throughout the book…giving just enough to whet your appetite and appease some curiosity, while fueling the fire to get ALL THE ANSWERS! The relationship between Talon and Jade was left in question at the end of Craving, but flares even hotter in Obsession.
The chemistry between them is off the charts, and only gets hotter as the book progresses. What started as hot, burns to magma proportions, and you find yourself begging for them to finally admit their love for one another.
The angst and suspense of the first installment gets even more pronounced, far deeper, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Ms. Hardt manages to keep you enthralled with every aspect of the story, giving only snippets of information, while at the same time creating more questions…and before you realize what’s happened the book is over and you still don’t know all the answers!
Proving the masterful writer she is, Ms. Hardt continues to weave her beautifully constructed web of deceit, terror, disappointment, passion, love, and hope as if there was never a pause between releases. A true artist never reveals their secrets, and Ms. Hardt is definitely a true artist. I only hope that she is quick with the next installment, as I simply MUST know what happens.
Eventually, the secrets will be revealed…but as with Craving, Obsession left us on a cliffhanger of epic proportions, leaving us with nothing but questions until Possession comes out in September. Well played, Ms. Hardt…well played…
