Synopsis

Life being Layton Parks isn't easy. Everything she touches seems to just fall apart at her fingertips - the air conditioning, the coffee maker, her ability to say no. AJ Love has been writing since she was a little girl, never leaving the house without a notebook. As a corporate stooge and single mother, she spends all of her free time reading, writing and drinking too much coffee (wine). AJ has a strong passion for the literary world and before writing her book, spent all of her time reviewing others. Not expecting to find love, Kane is surprised when Layton all but falls into his world. But a dark and tainted past makes it hard for Kane to see the good in life. Layton has only ever had bad luck, so when she decides to make a new life for herself, she realizes a little help from a dark stranger may be just what she needs to mend her broken heart. 

“He’s my first and last thought, the one person in the world I would trust with my whole heart. This wasn’t supposed to happen; I wasn’t supposed to get so attached to someone like him. It wasn’t in the plan, wasn’t something I wanted. I didn’t ask for this, but it’s here.”

AJ love hit the nose with Even at Your Darkest. The storyline and the plot definitely hold your attention, while the characters help provide the story with emotional support. Each scenario is like real-life, and you will find yourself laughing, crying and yelling at this story.
