“Come on…just one piece of bacon.”
“No.” I move my plate toward me, and away from him.
“Aww, come on, baby. You know you wanna give me some.”
Baby?
I feel that word wash through me like an erotic cleansing.
Pressing my thighs and lips together, I shake my head. “Nope. Your smooth Irish charm won’t work on me.”
Grinning, he gives me a look straight from the sex devil. “Aww, Andressa. Baby. If you give me some…I’ll make it worth your while. It can be our little secret. I won’t tell anyone, I promise.”
“How do you manage to make a conversation about bacon sound dirty?”
“I’d say it’s a talent…but maybe it’s not me that’s dirty and it’s you. After all, you are the one interpreting it that way.”

Review

Tara's 4 Bare Naked Star Review

“Unzipping her suitcase, Lily wondered what kind of man would live alone in such a large and uninviting house, with only a maid and a manservant for company. She’d find out soon enough.”

Where do I begin? Dark Erotica has never been my first choice for reading. But when I was asked to read this book for my review, I accepted with an open mind. I believe when reading any genre that is not your “go-to” you need to be open to whatever the author gives you.

"She knew she should leave. That this private moment was not meant for her eyes. But she couldn’t bring herself to move. She told herself it was fear that held her in place but she didn’t quite believe it.”

When we meet Lily, we are whisked away to the quaint country side estate of Mr. Darby. Katja does a fantastic job of helping the reader visualize the setting. The way she describes the surroundings and the characters creates a book so fascinating, I could not put it down. The one thing I really struggled with were my emotions. I wanted to hate this book, due to the content. I wanted to feel so uncomfortable with what Mr. Darby opened up Lily’s mind to. A couple of times I felt these emotions, but what I really felt was the raw, intense sexual passion that the characters in this book owned. I literally could not put this book down (I think I finished it in a couple of hours).

“They had turned her into something terrible. But seeing the ginger, Lily realized she would never again be aroused by the easy, uncomplicated romances that had once filled her head.”

Even though In the Valley of Lily would not be a book I would gravitate towards, I am really glad I got the chance to read it. Katja’s writing style is so strong and captivating, I found myself craving more! With that being said, I cannot wait to read more from this wonderfully talented author!

**Cover Reveal** Ethan Walker's Road to Wonderland by L.J. Stock

Book: Ethan Walker's Road to Wonderland
(Road to Wonderland Series #3)
by L.J. Stock
Genre: New Adult

Goodreads

Synopsis

At nineteen, the world has so many possibilities.

Ethan Walker was a typical teenager in that respect. He was happy, living at home with his family and partying when the mood struck. He was in no rush to grow up. His life was a blank page just waiting to be written, but that couldn’t last forever.

Unfortunately, reality came knocking at Ethan’s door, forcing him to face truths he’d never allowed himself to see in the past - truths that soon robbed him of his innocence and youth. With the life he’d always known gone forever, Ethan found himself battling demons in disguise, only to find his own weakness was his worst enemy.

When temptation turned to indulgence, and the ghosts of his past encouraged him to dig deeper, Ethan sought salvation in the form of violence. His fists and fortitude became his bread and butter, but the new turn in his life rejected the familiar and opened the door to more evil.

Inevitably, the darkness tried to sink him, and there was only one constant light that somehow seemed to shine brighter than the promise of escape: the mystery girl with the golden hair.

In order to survive, Ethan had to dig deep and find a strength in himself not even he was sure existed. Only when he found himself on a path to Wonderland did he start to see a future beyond his past. All he had to do to get there was learn to breathe and not get himself killed in the process.

**Book 3 in the Road to Wonderland Series, Ethan Walker can be read in conjunction with Izzy Moffit's Road to Wonderland by Victoria L. James and Paris Hemsworth's Road to Wonderland by Francesca Marlow or standalone.

In no hurry to grow up, she found stories all around her, in the forests of Plym Bridge, the moss covered hills of Dartmoor, then, as she grew older, the wide spread city of Houston, where she currently resides and works. A constant daydreamer, she hopes that one day, her passion can become something more than just a hobby for her.
Still led by her imagination, the worlds have slowly grown from childish adventures to urban fantasies and romances. With inspirational authors such as Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, Judy Blume, John Grisham and Stephen King guiding her through her life so far, L.J. Stock has finally decided that it is time for her to go for gold and try land herself on someone else’s future list of favorites.
Putting words on paper is as essential as breathing to her, but on the rare occasions that she isn’t writing, she can be found with a video game remote in hand or curled up on the couch with her pup and a good book. Music is also such an important part of her life, it’s a wonder there isn’t a background soundtrack playing wherever she goes.
A good girl to most, a bad girl to a few, L.J. believes that every genre should be attempted and is more than likely to have tried to release three hundred series’ ranging from vampires and werewolves, to dystopian and even classic romance, before she reaches even middle age. At least, that’s the plan for now.

**Excerpt Reveal** Fighting Silence by Aly Martinez

Fighting Silence

“Hi.” I stood up off the bed as he started climbing through the window.
His eyes went wide when he saw me, causing him to momentarily lose his balance on the windowsill and go crashing to the floor. “God. Damn,” he cursed as he rose to his feet while taking in my new wardrobe. “You… I…um…” His hand went to his lip.
He was rooted in place only a few steps away, but his eyes traveled over every inch of my body and back again.
Till was speechless. I had never felt so empowered in my life.
“Are you okay?” I feigned concern as I slowly approached.
“Not even close,” he told my breasts, making me giggle.
After sliding a hand under the edge of his T-shirt, I raked a fingernail over each of his abs before dipping it into the waistband of his jeans.
“I’m sore today,” I announced, closing the distance between us. My breasts were pressed against him, but he still hadn’t even attempted to touch me yet. I had plans to remedy that. I smirked then stood up on my tiptoes, kissing the base of his neck. “Make me sore for tomorrow too.” At the last second, I darted my tongue out to the hollow dip at the base of his neck. It was meant to tease him, but as the taste of his skin hit my tongue, I was flooded with memories of taking more of him in my mouth. The moan escaped before I’d even felt it coming.
A loud rumble shook his chest, but that was the only warning I received. Suddenly, I was off my feet and sailing through the air. Just as I landed on the bed, Till crashed on top of me. His mouth roughly landed on mine.
“Tell me we can’t do this again,” he demanded as his hands found my breasts.
“We’re definitely doing this again.” I arched into him.
“It’s gonna get so messy, Eliza. Please.” He groaned as I reached into the front of his jeans.
“I’m okay with messy,” I breathed, guiding his hand from my breast and into my panties.
“Fuuuuuck” he cursed when he discovered just how thorough I’d been with the razor earlier. His finger pressed inside me as his body traveled down the bed and settled between my legs, stripping my panties off during his descent.
He added another finger in a less than gentle but overwhelmingly intoxicating, rhythm.
“Tell me to stop, Eliza. We can’t do this again.” He grazed his teeth on the inside of my thigh.
“We’re already doing it.”
“Tell me to stop.”
“No.”
“It’s going to ruin us.”
“If you don’t stop talking, you’re going to ruin this.”
“I’m serious.” He kissed the inside of my other thigh, his fingers never faltering in their steady pace.
“So am I. Stop trying to talk yourself out of this while your fingers are buried inside me.” I threaded a hand into his hair and gave it a gentle tug.
“Goddammit. Tell me to stop!” he demanded one last time, but his fingers sped before twisting in the most delicious way.
I decided to give him what he wanted, but only because I knew he wouldn’t follow through.
“Stop.” I rolled my hips forcing him even deeper.
“Well, it’s too fucking late now.”
I would have laughed, but his mouth sealed over my clit and stole my breath, words, thoughts, and orgasm. My body shook as he pushed me higher even while I was falling. It shouldn’t have worked like that, but whatever voodoo magic Till Page was working with that night was all right with me. He didn’t stop swirling his tongue until I used his hair to pry his mouth away.
“Too much!” I cried.
He looked up with a wickedly proud grin. His hand disappeared, and seconds later, his cock replaced it.

Pre-order Fighting Silence

RELEASE DATE: February 23rd, 2015

Sound is an abstract concept for most people. We spend our lives blocking out the static in order to focus on what we believe is important. But what if, when the clarity fades into silence, it's the obscure background noise that you would give anything to hold on to?
I've always been a fighter. With parents who barely managed to stay out of jail and two little brothers who narrowly avoided foster care, I became skilled at dodging the punches life threw at me. Growing up, I didn’t have anything I could call my own, but from the moment I met Eliza Reynolds, she was always mine.  I became utterly addicted to her and the escape from reality we provided each other. Throughout the years, she had boyfriends and I had girlfriends, but there wasn't a single night that I didn’t hear her voice.
You see, meeting the love of my life at age thirteen was never part of my plan. However, neither was gradually going deaf at the age of twenty-one.

They both happened anyway.

Now, I'm on the ropes during the toughest battles of my life.
Fighting for my career.
Fighting the impending silence.
Fighting for her.
Every night, just before falling asleep, she sighs as a final conscious breath leaves her.
I think that's the sound I'll miss the most.

Synopsis

It's time for Kellan Kyle, the rockstar who captured our hearts in Thoughtless, to tell his side of the story.

Kiera is the kind of girl Kellan has no business wanting - she's smart, sweet, and dating his best friend. Certain he could never be worthy of her love, he hides his growing attraction . . . until Kiera's own tormented heart hints that his feelings might not be one-sided. Now, no matter the consequences, Kellan is sure of one thing: he won't let Kiera go without a fight.

‘What happens when you find your soul mate at the worst possible time, in the least expected place? What if being with that person means doing the most wrong thing you've ever done? My Review
Wendy's 5 Bare Naked Stars Review

I have no words.  NO WORDS……..

Two and a half years ago I came across a book called Thoughtless and it broke me, so it was with apprehension that I agreed to review Thoughtful, I was pretty scared to read it, even though I wanted to get Kellan’s side of the story.  So after giving myself a little pep talk, about how it’s only a book, it can’t physically hurt you, I put on the big girl knickers and went in.

And there he was! Kellan “hot as all f**k” Kyle waiting to take me on this journey again. I feel like Kellan and the D-bags are close personal friends, I’ve known them for so long now and we’ve been through so much together. Bare Naked Words was born on the back of my love for this series.

While I was reading Thoughtless I actually lay awake at night, trying to understand why Keira wouldn’t just choose Kellan, why was she being so damn well indecisive, hurtful and jealous.  But if you sit back and think about it, she was young, insecure and confused by her feelings for Denny and Kellan and really didn’t believe she was anything more than a conquest on a very long list of conquests to him.

While reading Thoughtful what we actually learn is, that as f**k hot as Kellan may be, his own insecurities are just as profound as Keira’s. He didn’t think we was worthy of her love either, which held him back from admitting this to her.  Had he done so earlier who knows where their story would have gone? However, that being said, he actually understood Kiera’s predicament more than you would have expected him to, he understood how hard it would be for her to leave Denny, her first true love and tried to respect that, but in the end his feelings got the better of him and his heart hurt too much to live a lie or to play second best.

Some of the iconic scenes from Thoughtless appear in Thoughtful and being able to experience these from Kellan’s POV was even more heartbreaking than seeing them from Keira’s viewpoint.  The first time they were together… who can forget the stairs? The espresso stand, the rain scene and so many more that are ingrained in our brains. And my heart was as heavy as it was the first time round.

Even though I know what happens, even though I know it works out in the end, SC Stephens broke me again! I wanted to hold Kellan and tell him it was going to be alright, I wanted to try and spare him the pain of, not feeling wanted, worthy or loved.  I never hated Kiera, I understood how scared she must have been of her feelings for Kellan and I still felt the same way, this time, not that I didn’t want to shake her rather violently a number times. And to be fair, Kellan certainly got his own back on Kiera a few times, flaunting women in front of her and lying about Anna.

SC Stephens proved once again what a talented and amazing storyteller she is, her writing is heart-shatteringly real, while still bringing us laugh out loud humour from our favourite delinquent rocker Griffin.  The fun times between Kellan and Kiera were cute and brought a smile to my face, imagine how great they would be together if they would just do the right thing.

There are often heated debates about this series at Bare Naked Words HQ, but one thing we all agree on, we will never, ever, ever recover from Thoughtless, it broke us and now I can add Thoughtful to the very short list of books that will stay with me forever.

SC Stephens probably had no idea that Kellan would have this effect on the world, but I’m so glad she brought him and those D-bags to us.  Now I must take my water logged kindle and my Post Kellan Stress Disorder to a quiet room and slowly piece myself back together.

Perhaps SC could consider offering counselling as part of her post-release giveaways. J
