Title: The Other C-Word
Author: MK Schiller
Publisher: Total E-Bound Publishing
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: 23rd August 2013
Synopsis:
Can she overcome her consuming desire for him? Can he make her comfortable with the other C-word…commitment?
Marley Mason is dreading the arrival of the new business consultant. After all, this man will most likely outsource her job to China. The last thing she would expect is a case of mistaken identity, leading to false accusations of kidnapping when she attempts to pick up the wrong man at the airport, or worse…that she would have such a visceral reaction to the right man.
Rick Randy is super sexy, scandalously flirty, and perfect masturbation material, but a relationship is out of the question. Rick is contracted on a temporary basis to fix Marley’s ailing company, and then pull out, although as he expresses to Marley, pulling out is difficult for him, in more ways than one! Marley’s feelings range from utter confusion to intense contemplation as Rick charms his way into her life. All of those C-words Marley can control, but it’s the other C-word she fears—commitment.

Author Bio – MK Schiller
This is my debut novel, and I’m thrilled to share it with you. I describe myself as a hopeless romantic in a hopelessly pragmatic world. By day, I don a magic cape, calculator (sometimes an abacus), and an assortment of gel pens for my work in the world of finance. But by night, I sit by the warm glow of my computer monitor, and think of stories that will warm the heart, and cheer the soul.
There is nothing better than the intimate journey and ultimate satisfaction that only a swoon-worthy romance can provide, especially if there are a few laughs along the way. Although writing is my passion, I am a reader first and enjoy nothing more than curling up with a good book and some tasty Italian (the food, of course!). I hope you will enjoy my work and please drop me a line. I’d love to hear from you.

Excerpt
His grin widened. “And where exactly would you like me to tickle you with my face, Marley?”
“Stop it, you’re tempting me, and we promised,” I warned.
He held up his hands in defeat, but the smirk remained. “Sorry, just one question. Will the parts I’m tickling be shaved or unshaved?”
I crossed my arms, tapping my feet. “Which would you prefer?”
He leant back in his chair, placing his hands behind his head. “It’s completely optional, but my preference is smooth.”
“That’s good.”
“Why is that, Marley?”
“I am smooth.”
His eyes took on a new intensity, causing me to feel somewhat victorious in this exchange. I knew he was painting a mental picture in his head. He bit his lower lip, and his hands actually shook when he pointed to me. “Get the hell out of my office. Don’t come in here unless you need something. Got it?”
“Fine.”
“Fine.”
I slammed the door on my way out.
My Review
If you are
looking for a laugh out loud, sexy as f**k, cry your heart out read, about commitment phobe Marley then this book
is for you.
Marley’s
company needs help and it arrives in the seriously hot and incredibly handsome shape
of Rick Randy.
At work they have a flirtatious,
sarcastic & hilariously funny relationship. But this quickly starts to
become something a bit more!
He utilized my skills during the day and I fantasized about his skills during the night.
And so comes the arrangement, a just ‘benefits’ relationship with none of the commitment of a real relationship. Marley agrees to the arrangement based on certain conditions which you will come to understand.
Rick has a condition of his own they must be 100% exclusive during the 3 month arrangement.
So they make this pact, have their STD
test and then have to wait a week – and this is probably the funniest part of
the book, I seriously rolled around laughing – it was awesome.
"Marley, there are a lot
of men who can make you feel good for an hour, or a night, or a week. There’s
very few that can make you feel cherished all the time."
The Other C-Word is about Marley
overcoming her fear of commitment, a fear which is perfectly understandable
once you know.
I won’t tell you how it ends but the
epilogue is everything you need it to be. Perfect.
