**Blog Tour** Angel after Dark by Kahlen Aymes

Dr. Angeline Hemming is a beautiful, sassy, no-nonsense type of girl who has risen from a difficult past to become one of Chicago’s most successful and respected criminal profilers. In exchange for free commercials to promote her favorite charitable causes, Angel answers calls and gives relationship advice on a Friday night radio program.

Alexander Avery is a gorgeous and successful corporate genius who doesn’t believe in love. When his girlfriend-of-convenience calls into Angel’s program, he is furious with the show’s host who doles out (what he considers) blind advice, without knowing all the facts… and he decides to give her a piece of his mind, and his side of the story!

When Angel informs Alex he’s the one in need of a much-deserved lesson, all hell breaks loose as these two type-A personalities battle it out for control over minds and hearts, and yes, in bed. Not only are they fighting each other at every turn, but they are also struggling to uphold the convictions they each live by.

It’s unclear who is stronger, but both must discover that to get what they desperately want, they may have to give a little… or a lot.

Angel After Dark was a captivating story of two emotionally guarded people learning to open up to new feelings through each other. Both are professional, attractive (ok a bit more than attractive), intelligent and funny, which made for some great banter between the characters.

Angel, Dr Angeline Hemming, Psychologist is guarding her heart against love which can only ever bring a whole world of hurt and pain. She is extremely beautiful, but it’s her witty retorts that make the early meetings with Alex laugh out loud funny.  You want to high five her as she sticks it to him verbally.

Alex, Alexander Avery, super rich business man has never needed nor wanted to fall in love, only taking what he wanted when he wanted, which leads us to Whitney his ex, you can bet your ass we haven’t heard the last of her.

"He is man candy personified. Just the type of guy that can fuck up a woman's life. I'm sure he leaves a trail of women crying in his wake,"

From the very first time they lay eyes on each other something changes, maybe not love at first sight but definitely I want to hump your brains out at first sight.

"Angeline. You're so beautiful. What do you have going on under that dress."

"A blush silk thong and a Brazilian wax."

"And is your body reacting like mine is now? If I reached up under your dress, would my fingers find that silk damp."

The story moves at a pace that felt right for Angel and Alex, and Kahlen gave us insight in to both perspectives allowing us to understand the shift in the feelings they begin to have for each other.

“Why am I so out of control with you? Jesus, I hate it, but it feels so damn good,” she asked in a breathy rush.

“Because it can’t be controlled, I fight it, too, but I’m ready to let it happen.  When we’re together like this, all I want to do is feel.  There is no other choice” Alex

Once they do get together they are hot as hell but still the humour flows through the story.

This story was not rushed, and so felt believable, however there is something dangerous to this story lurking in the background but you’re going to have to wait for book 2 to learn more.

The end, well it kinda snook up on me, one minute I was laughing, the next minute I was feeling just a little overwhelmed just like the characters were and then……..

I’m really looking forward to Book 2, Kahlen Aymes never disappoints her writing is sincere, heartfelt and funny, what more could you want?
