Meet Kat, or Katarina, she’s a quiet,
normal hardworking girl who agrees, under sufferance, to help out her best
friend Emma who has double booked herself.
Emma is an escort…not a prostitute, an
escort. She gives her time, in exchange for money, and it works pretty well,
for Emma.
Meet Damon, he’s a high powered
businessman, wealthy, with no time or inclination for a relationship, so he
hires Emma, for social functions, when he’s expected to have a classy,
beautiful woman on his arm. An agreement that works just great, until Emma
double books and he meets Kat…
“His eyes drift back to my exposed leg. I grab my clutch, and pull
it to my center like a shield. Somehow my three-inch by four-inch purse is
supposed to cover and protect me.”
“I’m a wolf in sheep’s clothing, Katarina.” He addresses me with a
serious look in his eyes and a warning in his voice.”
When, after a lovely evening Kat refuses
Damon’s money, he’s clearly interested in her but Damon doesn’t like to date –
a point which he makes clear from the off.
When his actions throw them back together
he persuades her to give him a chance, they go out for dinner and bond over a
‘Bound’, they agree to their own little bookclub for two and things start to
hot up.
“What am I doing? I feel like I’m in a book club for the deranged.”
Their text messages are funny and sexy and
Damon seduces Kat in the guise of a bookclub.
But Damon has issues, as Kat soon comes to
realise, he isn’t the dates, hearts and flowers guy that she wants and always
dreamed of.
“You brand me
with your kisses; you mesmerize me with your laugh. You astonish me with your
candour and you completely paralyze my heart with your ability to love. About
two months ago, you told me that I was loveable and worthy. I didn’t agree. I
still don’t think that I am worthy of your love, but I want it. I need it.”
Can she break through his boundaries and
will he let her in to allow their relationship to bloom?
Go and meet Kat and Damon and Antony and
Emma to find out!
