**Blog Tour** Mended by Kim Karr

MUSIC HAS THE POWER TO HEAL ALL…BUT NOT ALL BROKEN HEARTS CAN BE MENDED.

Always in control, Xander Wilde considered life on the road to be a perfect fit for him. But when disaster strikes on the Wilde Ones’ latest tour, fate intervenes…and a newly single Ivy Taylor, the only girl he has ever loved, steps back into his life.

After moving past her painful breakup with Xander years ago, Ivy was poised to become the next big name in pop music…when suddenly she withdrew from the limelight—the same day she announced her engagement to her controlling agent, Damon Wolf.

Xander knows he should keep his distance. But once they’re on the road, he can’t resist pursuing her for a second chance. Yet a jealous Damon can’t let her go—and he’s keeping dangerous secrets that could destroy them all.

When the three of them come together, everything falls apart. But if Xander and Ivy can hold tight to the bond that connects them, they just might have a chance at reclaiming the powerful love they thought they had lost forever....

Kim Karr is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of romance, including her sexy New Adult romance series, Connections.  She describes herself as wearing a lot of hats–writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all-around go-to person of the family.  However, she always finds the time to read.  She believes in soul mates, kindred spirits, true friends and Happily-Ever-Afters, and loves to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart.  Kim lives in Florida with her husband and four kids.

5 Bare Naked Stars *****

“If you love someone, set them free. If they come back, they’re yours.”

I swear Kim sets the bar higher and higher each time she releases a new instalment to The Connections series. She has surprised me and left me more in love with the characters after each book and Mended is no exception.
This is Xander and Ivy’s story....
A story of young love, heartbreak and second chances.
When we first meet Xander in Connected he comes across as a bit of an arsehole, but what we get in Mended is such a contrast to that. There’s so much more to Xander Wilde than meets the eye.

Xander and Ivy are first together in high school. Even from that point you can feel the love that they have for each other. They had a plan, but not all plans work out. After a tragedy struck Xanders family and a misunderstanding, Xander makes the decision to let Ivy go.

“I loved her, and that was it—I loved her enough to do what was best for her. So even though we were a part of each other, when I got the opportunity to set her free—I did.”

Fast forward 12 years and Xander is now the manager to his brothers band The Wilde Ones. Everything is going great until something happens that throws a spanner in the works...But not for long. Fate intervenes and throws them a lifeline.
Ivy Taylor.
Now stuck together in the cramped confines of a tour bus, Xander and Ivy must try to move forward from the past. But it’s not so easy.

“I cradle my head in my hands and pray I can do this--that I can handle being around her every day and still do my job.”

Ivy tries to keep her distance from Xander, she tries to focus on the hatred she has felt towards him for the past twelve years, but Xanders reappearance in her life only makes all the other feelings come crashing back to the surface.

“I’ve tried to avoid getting too close to him. For reasons I don’t want to think about though, I want to be near him. Then every time I am near him, I teeter between love and hate.”

Throw in a controlling FiancĂ© with ulterior motives, twists and turns you don’t see coming and you have the perfect read. It will make you gasp in shock, it will make your heart flutter and ache and it will make you tear up.
Xander and Ivy truly are made for each other. They are two halves of one whole. Their love just emanated off the pages and in to my heart. I found myself clutching my kindle in hopes they would get their happily ever after. They deserve it.

Kim, thank you once again for delivering yet another exceptional and unputdownable book that I absolutely loved. You truly are a talented and amazing writer and I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of this series.
I love your writing.
I love your characters.
Hell I just love you.
And I absolutely LOVE this series.

I loved you when I was fourteen. I loved you when I was eighteen and had to let you go. I’ve loved you for the past twelve years. And I love you now. Ivy—I love you.”
“It’s real and right. It’s everything I’ve been missing and everything I want. He’s mine, and this time I’ll never let him go.”
