He knows everything.
She has all the damn answers. I’ve always been a free spirit. It’s my nature.
I crave control, but with her it’s far more. He’s a power hungry climber.
Her wealth could buy and sell me.
It’s too much pressure being the center of anyone’s focus.
She underestimates my desire for her, my need to please just her.
When he’s vulnerable, it’s hard to deny him.
Her crooked smile cripples me.
He hides his demons, but I’m no fool.
She thinks not committing to anyone makes her more honest. She’s wrong.
A man like him deserves someone who can offer that kind of love.
She promises nothing, yet I feel like a king when she says my name.
I never let anyone possess me like he did. Not before. Not after.
My greatest regret was compromising. I should have never held back.
Still, when we’re apart I’m not myself.
I miss the days when she was just down the hall.
He’s better off without me, and it hurts.
The ugly truth is I need her more than she needs me.
Our relationship was born out of lust and curiosity.
The lies we told ourselves killed it.
Together, we found Nirvana.
We learned it was all a mirage.
I ruined him.
I broke her heart.
I keep coming back.
I can’t let her go.
KNOT is a contemporary romance and a complete standalone. It is the first spin-off from the best-selling Wake Series. You do not need to read BAIT, SAIL, or ANCHOR to enjoy this book in its entirety, but if you love angst you'll enjoy them, too.

Wendy's 5 star review
Once in a while you read a book that you know you will never forget.
Knot is one of those rare books. It continues to haunt my thoughts days after I finished it.
M. Mabie has once again given us a story that is by no means easy to read, beautifully written as always, and the journey Mo takes us on is one of awe and wonder at her wonderful words but crucially she also hurts us so bad it’s good.
As characters I truly adored Nora and Reggie, their story covers subjects that although often found in books, was handled and developed in ways I had not seen before.
How many books have you come across where serious anxiety issues are raised? More than a few I imagine, but how many are from the males POV?
Nora confident, self assured, knows exactly what she wants. Or does she?
Reggie was smart, ambitious, focused and seemingly a confident attractive man. However behind all the good lucks and smarts, he too was battling his internal demons. Which begs the question why did he pursue someone that right from the start told him they shouldn’t be together. Why did he put himself and her through such uncertainty?
“I wanted to go back to the days when it didn’t seem so far-fetched. When he still had a plan and still looked for ways we could work, before all we had was two calendar’s worth of regrets. Twenty Four months of failure” Nora
Right from the start all Reggie ever demanded was honesty. Communication was key to their relationship and when all was said and done, they broke their own rules in the end.
“All of this…” He waved his hands down his reclined body. “Wants all of that.” The he motioned to me. “I have no control over it. Trust me, at first I tried. Remember?” Reggie
I have ranted continually about this book to my friends since I started it, because it made me really bloody mad at times and sobbing my heart out at others.
I wanted to throttle the pair of them at one point and had to walk away, but just like I did you will go back because you want them to work it out.
I messaged Mo fairly early on in my journey with this story and her reply was a great source of comfort and reassurance “Awww, Wendy. You're really fucked. Bwahahahaha”
Congratulations to M Mabie for another emotional and unforgettable book.
